Martin Bury heads the Corporate Affairs & Public Strategies Practice which focuses on strategic advisory and corporate positioning as well as on stakeholder communications in connection with capital markets transactions. 

The banker and business administration graduate was a member of the management board of Lehman Brothers Bankhaus AG in Frankfurt and Managing Director of the European investment banking division. He covered clients in transportation, logistics, infrastructure and the public sector. Prior to that, he was Minister of State for Europe and Minister of State to the Federal Chancellor and, from 1990 to 2005, a member of the Federal Parliament (Deutscher Bundestag).

Raphael Neuner heads HERING SCHUPPENER's Digital Hub. He advises companies in all questions of digital transformation and strategic communication. Core issues are the opportunities for business models, reputation and stakeholder engagement in the digital Age. Raphael Neuner has been an Associate Director at HERING SCHUPPENER in Berlin, before he took on the role of Head of Public Policy Germany at Metro AG. The digital and social dimension of public affairs and communication was his main focus, among other things he developed the “digitale Hauptstadtbüro” for Metro AG. Prior to that he worked as a personal advisor for a party chairman, at the permanent representation of Germany in Brussels and in a federal ministry. Raphael Neuner is vice chairman at de’ge’pol e.V. and he lectures on Digital Public Affairs.

Nikolaus Tacke, former chief EU lobbyist of Coca-Cola, leads the Brussels office where about ten consultants are based. The Brussels office is the central office for advisory services related to the European Union for global clients from Hering Schuppener and our partner Finsbury. The office is located in the heart of the EU district, in direct proximity to the EU institutions.

Dr. Nikolaus Tacke is Managing Director of the Brussels Office of Hering Schuppener’s Corporate Affairs & Public Strategies Practice.

He joined Hering Schuppener in April 2016, after spending eight years as chief lobbyist of The Coca-Cola Company in Brussels. In this position he was responsible for political analysis, strategies and campaigns in view of existing law, political and societal pressure or future regulation.

Prior to joining Coca-Cola, Nikolaus Tacke worked in the public affairs department of a global agribusiness company in Brussels and headed the office of a multinational PR agency in Berlin. He holds a PhD in Egyptology and has published a number of books and articles on Ancient Egyptian language, religion and art.

The Düsseldorf location was founded by Ralf Hering in 1995 and is the German headquarters of Hering Schuppener. More than 50 consultants work at the company’s head office.

The Düsseldorf office of Hering Schuppener is run by two partners and five managing directors. The consultancy teams focus on crisis and restructuring communications, issues management and analytical reputation management as well as on strategies relating to brand development.

Tina Mentner leads the Special Situations Practice of HERING SCHUPPENER. From the Düsseldorf office, she develops communication strategies for crisis and change situations with a focus on restructuring processes and insolvencies. Since joining HERING SCHUPPENER in 1999, Tina has advised far more than 100 companies on the prevention and handling of crises. 

Her previous work experience includes a leading corporate communications consultancy where she formed part of the advisory team that backed up the IPO of Deutsche Telekom. Tina studied at the universities of Bochum and Munich. She holds an M.A. in communications, economics and market and organisational psychology.

The Frankfurt office of Hering Schuppener originated in 1995 and today operates with a team of 70 consultants. The location is currently run by seven partners and two managing directors.

The consultancy teams focus primarily on financial communications (M&A transactions, IPOs, capital measures, investor relations) and on Corporate Affairs, CEO communications, management coaching and reputation management.

Alexander Geiser is Managing Partner at HERING SCHUPPENER since 2003. He advises clients on the development and implementation of their communication strategies and is also specialized in the communication of M&A as well as CEO changes. 

Alexander has advised on more than 100 domestic and international transactions. Between 1996 and 2001, he worked within the HERING SCHUPPENER Group in the field of corporate strategy and development in Düsseldorf, London and New York. Alexander studied business administration and politics at the Western University in Canada. He completed post-graduate studies at INSEAD in 2000, and Harvard University in 2016. In 2014, he was appointed to the group of Young Global Leaders by the World Economic Forum (Geneva).
